Malaysia's Wonders: A Journey Through the Country's Must-See Attractions
One of the things you will find most fascinating about Malaysia is her people and culture. It is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-lingual society of 32 million people. Batu Caves
The Batu caves are located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur as you head east towards Kuantan or the Gentling Highlands. You can see the entrance to the caves from the road which is in the form of an impressive set of steps leading upwards to the mouth of the cave.
The caves are sacred place for the hindus population in Malaysia and consists of three main caves and a number of smaller caves. The caves are an impressive sight at 400 meters long and 100 meters high. Be prepared to meet plenty of monkeys here as they vie for your attention in the hope of getting some nuts.
Climbing the 272 steps up to the mouth of the Batu caves is worth it once you see view from the top. Besides the gigantic, gold-painted statue of the Hindu Lord Murugu, monkeys never fail to greet the visitors outside the Batu caves. The inside of the Batu caves is well-lit and houses a Hindu temple that is still being used today, as well as a few stores that sell drinks,food and souvenir items. Stalactites drapes from the high ceiling of the Batu Caves as limestone covers the wall. Several status of Hindu deities can be found inside the caves.
Pеtrоnаѕ Twin Tоwеrѕ
The Petronas Twin Towers dominate the sky scape in Kuala Lumpur. They are magnificent pieces of architecture which tower over the rest of Kuala Lumpur and are currently the 13th tallest building in the world. They were built in 1998 and have 88 floors and 452 meters into the sky.
The Petronas Twin Towers opens from 09:00 AM until 06:15 PM daily except Mondays and holidays. After the first scheduled tour of the day, each tour time slot begins 15 minutes after the preceding one starts. The ticket windowopens at 8 AM, there will be along waiting to get ticket at 06:30 AM.
Lake Gardens (Taman Tasik Perdana)
The lake Garden in Kuala Lumpur isa green belt that covers over 90 hectares of land. Originally built around an artificial lake, the garden are now a major center piece in Kuala Lumpur and offer many types of gardens including an Orchid Garden, a Hibiscus Garden, the butterfly Park and much more.
