Malibu is commonly associated with many beautiful houses, celebrities, perfect waves, and surfers. However, there is more than that. Malibu offers beautiful views and natural panoramas. If you are on a road trip and have a car that you can use, you'll be able to see some of the most breathtaking landmarks of Malibu along the Pacific Coast Highway. You can proceed with your road trip to Venice Beach and Laguna Beach. Let's dig into what you can expect from such a wonderful road trip.

If you have time to spend in Malibu, make sure you stop at the stunning Zuma beach to relax and enjoy the ocean. It is a wide beach that tends to get quite crowded during the weekends. Once there, you can also hit Point Dume State Beach, where many visitors climb its rock and stroll around.

Another beach worth visiting is the small but stunning El Matador State beach. Unfortunately, it doesn't have lifeguards or facilities and you can only access the beach through a steep path. However, it is surrounded by rocky formations and it is just a beautiful place from which admires the view of the ocean.

If you want to explore more the city, you have to know that several celebrities have chosen the city of Malibu as their house. Yes, relaxing at the beach and hiking it is very nice, but why not have a glimpse of how some celebrities live?

Among others, Cindy Crawfords, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Lady Gaga and Robert Downey Jr all got a mansion in one of the scenic locations of the Malibu.

Venice Beach

South of Malibu, with less than half an hour's drive, you can stop at Venice Beach. Venice Beach is well known for the exclusive boutiques, the variety of entertainment offers from street performers to artists. There are some beautiful beaches too and the iconic Venice Boardwalk where you can do some people watching, but the attractions don't stop there.

You can stroll along the canals in Dell Avenue, inspired by the Italian city of Venice while having a look at some fancy houses and just enjoying the walk.

Venice Beach is also a great place to go thrift shopping, you may find some very unique pieces of clothes!

If you feel like it, you can go shopping or eating on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, a street packed with organic stores and independent boutiques.

Just one hour south Venice Beach, you can easily reach Laguna Beach, another worthy stop on a road trip. Laguna beach is one of the most pristine towns of Orange County and arguably one of the most beautiful. It offers several art galleries and hosts many festivals during the summer. In Laguna Beach, visitors can do some shopping and visit the nice boutiques or enjoy the beautiful beaches like Treasure Island Beach. The number of art galleries makes the city particularly interesting and diverse and allows you to always find something to do.
